Ingredients:

  • Sweetheart Bread Recipe250ml milk
  • 1 egg, beaten and added to milk
  • 450g Carrs Breadmaker Strong White Flour
  • 30g butter
  • 1.5 teaspoons salt
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1.5 teaspoons fast action yeast

Method

  1. Place ingredients in bread pan in order given and cook on 'DOUGH' programme.
  2. Meanwhile, make up filling:- Mix together 50g sugar, 30 sifted coca powder and 30g melted butter.
  3. When dough is ready, turn onto lightly floured surface and knead lightly, then roll into rectangle approximately 15" x 10"  (38cm x 25cm).
  4. Spread filling over, leaving a border of about 1" (2.5cm) all round.  Roll up tightly from longer edge like a swiss roll.  Place seam side down on greased baking sheet and form into heart shape
  5. Cover with a tea towel and leave in warm place until doubled in size (30-40 minutes).
  6. Bake at 200`C/400`F for about 25 minutes.  Remove from baking sheet and cool on wire rack.  Drizzle with melted chocolate before serving.
