Malty Seeded Bread

recipe for Malty Seeded BreadIngredients:

  • 500g Carrs Malty Seeded Breadmaker Flour
  • 1 tsp Fast Action Dried Yeast
  • 1½ tsp Salt
  • 1½ tbsp Butter, Pumpkin Oil or Sunflower Oil
  • 325ml Water

Method, Bread Machine:

  1. Follow the manufacturers’ instructions regarding the order of liquid/dry ingredients.
  2. Set your machine to the basic/normal setting, medium crust.

Method, By Hand:

This recipe can also be baked by hand.

  1. Place dough in a greased 2lb tin or on a baking tray.
  2. Bake at 230ºC (450F, gas mark 8) for 30-35 minutes.

Malty Seeded Fruit Loaf

recipe for Malty Seeded Fruit Loaf Ingredients:

  • 500g Carrs Malty Seeded Breadmaker Flour
  • 1 tsp Fast Action Dried Yeast
  • 1½ tsp Salt
  • 1½ tbsp Butter, Pumpkin Oil or Sunflower Oil
  • 1 tbsp Black Treacle
  • 150g Mixed Dried Fruit
  • 315ml Water

Method, Bread Machine:

  1. Place all ingredients into the pan except the mixed fruit by following your manufacturers’ instructions regarding the order of liquid/dry ingredients.
  2. Place fruit in nut/raisin dispenser (if available) and set your machine to the basic/normal raisin setting, medium crust.
  3. If you do not have a nut/raisin dispenser, when the machine indicates (with a beeping sound), add the fruit and close the lid.
