Inspire! Competition

The Grain Chain and Licence to Cook are delighted to provide this opportunity for innovative teachers to demonstrate their passion and flair for practical food-based work in the classroom.

Are you up for the challenge? Have you got some great ideas you would be happy to share?

• The winning entry will focus on developing and running an exciting and inspiring lesson(s), based around flour.
• Inspire! is open to all teachers of students aged 11-14 years across the UK.
• Student teachers in their final year are also eligible to enter with the prize money going to their future school in September 2010.
• Teachers can enter by submitting original classroom ideas, resources or lesson plans.
• Competition entries must be submitted by Tuesday 20th April 2010.

Entries must:

• promote practical food work with flour and other ingredients;
• be aimed at 11-14 year olds;
• link with the curriculum in your region of the UK;
• support the Food Standards Agency’s food competences;
• include student feedback.
